![]() The different syntax highlighting is valuable when you're dealing with writing different kinds of code, or scouring the file for an elusive curly bracket that's messing with your script. I started with the free Lite version, but then was so impressed with it that I actually PAID for the Pro version (trust me, it's a hugeeee deal, I was the Queen of Cracks n Codes, lol). Luckily there are some fabulous (and free) text editors out there that you won't have to worry about doing that!!įor a good text editor I just use gedit or when I was using Windows, I used It adds in extra syntax on ya that can mess up your website pages/scripts. it's never a skill you'll regret or find that you don't use. NVU is great software, very popular WYSIWYG editor on the linux forums!!Īnd CONGRATULATIONS on learningggggg html by using a text editor too!! It may get frustrating right now, but it will be soooo worth it.
